I managed to get this book while it was for free on and thought it sounded good. First off, I didn't feel like I was in the dark just because I hadn't read the first two books. It is like each book is stand alone but still connected so you know who each person is through out.The author manages to give such vivid details without making you feel as if she is trying to fill a word quota. I can visually see an intelligent man that has a rumpled shirt but still look good. I could feel how the emotions rolled off the page. I could feel the insecurities, the longing, and the desire (and not just sexual but true desire).This has a HEA and it does not have a cliffhanger for those who typically steer away from series because of cliffhangers. I am definitely going to read the rest of the series. As for the sex scenes..........if you are looking for a book that has no intimacy at all this is not the book to read. It is not much and it does not even come close to being overtly sexual but vanilla.23 of 24 people found the following review helpful.Just so wonderful...By Anita L McFarlaneThe fake fiance trope is one of my favorites and Noelle Adams put her wonderful touch to this sweet engaging tale. Sarah works for Jonathan in a lab in Iceland and has been in love with him for several years. One of the things I like best about this author is her ability to tell a tale in a myriad of settings. Her romances are set around the world. You are never bored with her settings. Jonathan's uncle funds the lab and, as his only guardian, wants Jonathan to settle down. Hence, the fake fiance. The characters are very engaging. Sarah was an ugly duckling as a child and has blossomed into a luscious young woman. Jonathan, whose personality sounds like he should have been classified somewhere on the Aspergers scale, is gruff yet sweet. What I loved about this book is the author's deft hand with the characters. How we find out so much about them in only a few pages. We know that Sarah is loved by her family but her social life has been limited. Jonathan's life was lonely and this affected him greatly to the point where he is unable to form meaningful connections with people. But anyone who has read any of these types of romances knows where the story goes so I don't have to tell you that. Just know that Noelle Adams' classic ever so hot touch to their coming together is solidly at work here. Oh my, sizzling hot. This is yet another reason why this author is an auto buy for me. I don't even read the synopses for her books anymore - I just one click it!!2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4By Karen TalleyI love a nerd! The story was predictable and slow in some spots but still a cute and entertaining read. The hero is brilliant and focused on his work and doesn't relate well to the world around him. Thinking about it, he probably falls slightly into the autistic spectrum. I have actually worked with an individual much like him. The heroine is more understanding than most would be. I did like their fake 'courtship.' My biggest problem with the book was the unanswered questions: Why did the uncle have such a hard time relating to the boys and what exactly was causing Ben's actions I think hints could have been given to these questions without spoiling the next book.For those interested: There are sexual situations that may offend some readers.See all 275 customer reviews...
